Description
NOTE: Every artist submitting an entry to volume two of the Tortall Comics Project, whether working digitally or traditionally, must use this template or the measurements provided as their guide for how to lay out their comic pages. Artists who don't follow these guidelines will be asked in the final stage to re-format their pages for the editor. (It's best to do it correctly now than to have to fix it in post!)
For artists working traditionally, please take note of Safe, Trim, and Bleed measurements when measuring out your comic page.
*****When saving or scanning your page, please be sure to save at 300DPI!*****
SAFE: Put all of your text and your most important artwork here. If you have a drawing detail that you really don't want to be cut off in printing, make sure it falls within this border.
TRIM: This is the area most likely to be trimmed during the printing process.
BLEED: This area is for extreme cases when a book might be printed off kilter on the press, leading to slanted pages. To make sure there aren't any white cutoff areas during the printing process, please extend your nonessential drawings (or anything nonessential, really) all the way to the edge of the page.
